The Mudejar Concerto follows the classical tradition inherited from Beethoven and Mozart with its three mouvements: Moderato, which introduces an Allegro non troppo, Andante and finally, another Allegro. In the initial Moderato, the guitar sings first, almost alone, before introducing the first theme, elegantly clad in a lively and rythmic Allegro. Within the theme guitar and orchestra keep things going with questions and answers, until the musical discourse slowly broadens in a pulsating slow waltz, brilliantly undefined by pyrotechnics from the guitar.
